As a PCSO, I often get asked about my role so I wanted to explain it a bit more. Our main focus is supporting the community and tacking local issues that affect day to day life. This includes: PCSOs don't replace Police Constables, but we play an important role in building trust, reassurance and problem solving. A big part of my job is being approachable and available to speak to you. If you see me on patrol, please feel free to stop and have a chat, you can also contact via this platform to raise concerns, share information or ask questions. We also want to make sure local issues are being reported the right way so we can act on them. 999 - in the case of emergency, immediate danger or if a crime is happening now 101 or online - for non-emergency issues or ongoing concerns such as anti-social behaviour.
